Something I don’t see often enough…

I came across an article in my news alerts that I really enjoyed.  Some of you know we visited the Rio Salado Desert Habitat a couple weekends ago and really enjoyed our hike.  There were times when you could forget that you were in a city, much less deep in the inner city.

The construction of the Río Salado Audubon Center is an important step in revitalizing the local economy of South Phoenix, the beloved home of generations of Arizonans and new immigrants alike.

It’s not that often that there is any recognition that South Phoenix is not just the bad part of town… that there is a community here beyond the gangs.
