Phoenix murder suspect caught, second suspect still loose

Slideshow Police investigate deadly shooting in S. Phoenix PHOENIX – One of two men suspected in a Phoenix murder last week was arrested during a traffic stop on Tuesday morning.

Calvin Finely, 26, and William Jack Jr., 18, are suspected of shooting 39-year-old Duwayne Simmons to death outside a south Phoenix home Thursday afternoon.

Police say Simmons was found by officers lying in the driveway of a home near 24th Street and Broadway Road around 3:20 p.m. He died at the scene.

Phoenix police spokesman Luis Samudio said there were several witnesses in the area and identified the two suspects who fled the scene.

Samudio said the suspects and victim were involved in an argument when Simmons was robbed and shot to death.
